Darin,  That's great news, thanks for getting the ball rolling on this event, I know it's going to be a fantastic one.

Everyone, this will be an AZBarbeque Officially Sanctioned event, so make sure to mark your calendars for this one, it should be a blast.

Absolutely, we will have some judging spots open as well.  Won't need quite as many judges as we are limiting the teams to 20 - 25, but we will still need probably 18 -20 judges.

We should have registration forms up soon.

Ok here is the timeline for this contest

Saturday December 8th

6:00 – 8:00 AM check in and set up

7:00 – 8:00 AM meat inspection

8:00 AM begin cooking

2:00 PM Chicken turn in

2:30 PM Ribs turn in

3:00 PM Anything Butt turn in

Let me know what you guys think about this timeline!

We are still trying to finalize the details and legalities.  Once we have this done, we will blast out the registration form.

There is only room for 12 - 15 contestants, so space will be limited.

Should be a fun event though.
