Man, this sucks.  I missed Stagecoach because I was asked to cook for a friends 50th wedding anniversary.  Now I am going to miss Viejas, as I was asked last 6 months ago to cook for a friends 40th Birthday. 

Oh, that is life.  Everyone have a good time.   I will still be doing a comp style that weekend, but no hardware.   

I do like the pay out, a little top heavy, but hey we are in it to win it right.

I attended this as a spectator last year...it was my first time ever being at an BBQ event.   

Are you looking for help on your team as a competitor? Pit Beoch, runner, lackey...ect ect.

Yea, I typically have a few people come join the AZBarbeque team and get their feet wet on the competitions.

It's not a lot of hard work, but it is a great learning environment and lots of fun.

I'll be judging at this one.  Looks like a good time!  Too bad it is the same weekend as the ASH Octoberfest......

I will be teaching a judging class at this event if anyone from Arizona is interested, the place is nice, the weather is not hot and there is something for everyone there... lots of stores, restaurants and a casino, I know they will have bands and a car show too....

I have been trying to reach Nancy Kennedy and she has not gotten back to me.  I want to attend this but time is getting short.  I see that Gene has posted in this thread, does anyone know how to contact him?  I have myself and one other person that REALLY want to attend this class!!  HELP
