A victim of it's own success much like the Autry Museum cook off
The crowd that was drawn in by the cook off
grew so large it hurt rather than helped the event host.
Last year the Casino shopping mall had a slow day during the cook off

Dammit! Maybe it introduced a lot of people to the area who came back at other times...lookit the big pic, people!
Oh well. Too bad, so sad. I'd have liked to make it to that one.

We loved Viejas the year we did it.  Team mates will be disappointed.

i was talking to some locals around viejas yesterday and i told them it was canceled. it was like i slapped there kid or something. they were very disappointed. those Indians might be making a big mistake

If the event that is supposed to draw shoppers to your mall grows so large that it prevents shoppers from parking..............
They did not want to go with a smaller contest, say first 30 teams that send in entry
The upside is there are at least 3 groups trying to put together a replacement event

If the venue was large enough, the shops could have set up satellite booths inside the event.
