Originally we were, but it was cancelled so many times, I actually got a paid gig up in Payson for tomorrow, so I will be close, but not competing.  Wish I was, sounds like a fun event.

I have only seen 3 people confirmed on the Association site, yourself, Wheels and the 3 Mikes..  Aaron said he has close to 10, so there must be some local teams planning on competing as well.

Good luck to you Jay, if you are passing through Payson anytime on Saturday or early Sunday, give me a call and stop by for a drink.

I also was going to go when it was first announced,but then it got cancelled and I forgot about it and made other plans for this weekend so I won't be there either.I wish they had not cancelled it in the beggining because as hot as it's going to be in Phoenix it sure would have been nice to go up north !

I saw over on the AZBBQA board that Mr Smoker posted some of the results to this one. They are:

"Otis and the Bird"(1st Place), "Wheels"(2nd place) and "MikeP"(3rd place).

I believe Mr Smoker took 4th place!

Just thought I would use this opportunity to self promote again! Otis and the Bird took first place in the Taylor rib contest using D-dog’s BBQ Maple rub! Just one more reason to pick some up today!!
