We wont be making it out to this one this year.  That said, I thought it would be a great idea for any seasoned Rio vets to offer any tips/advice to the AZ teams on what to expect at this event.  Obviously, it is expected to be windy....so tie those EZ Ups down tight ASAP.

Do any other seasoned Rio vets have tips on how we can help our AZBBQ teams??

I'm sure anything and everything is welcome.

I am just wondering, would a bottle (or two) of whiskey be appropriate?

We are currently stick in traffic on the 40 because of several big accidents.  Other than the people who are turning around, we haven't moved for ove a half hour! I hear the weather is bad so we'r hoping to make it safely!

Oh, Jay!!!  That purely sucks.   :'(

We're about 2.5 hours away from Rio Rancho, and things are pretty white.  It's a big 22 degrees, and we're going all of 35 mph in a construction zone.

Things you ONLY hear at a BBQ competition:
BBQCzar: "Hey, your butt's looking really good!"
VQ: "Thanks, I've been working on it."

Mrs. McFrankenboo

After a 2 hour delay to go 4 miles, we had to stop in gallup because of bad weather.  24 hours later we made it and holy crap it's cold! Poor seamus will need a shot of jameson's to warm up!  Good thing we brought the Bailey's!  Oh yeah, cold wind sucks!
