Hello All,

The check is going out today for this event.  I think we are going down on Thursday, so Karyn can take the CBJ class.  The question I have surrounds the BBQ Bucks.

It looks like you can serve BBQ (anything) on Friday and Saturday and the split looks good.  If you have done it in the past, can you give me some advice on how it works.

Thanks

David

They will put you in a separate section and you can allegedly only take those bucks but last year a lot of people did not.  You can do samples, sandwiches, etc because you are considered a vendor.  We did sandwiches last year but that was a little much so we are not doing buns because it was a pain in the buns  :D

We are vending again though so it should be good.  I would recommend it if you have the means to do it.

Best vending opportunity ever!  And yes, you can sell anydamnthing you want to (last year grilled shrimp made a KILLING).

We'll see you there, but I don't think we're going to vend this year.

30,000 people who will eat you out of house and home! It's a great opprtunity to generate X-cash -- but you need to be ready. I will tell you that the health dept will inspect you and the propane (state) natzi's will inspect every hose and connector -- PS a fee for every tank. Yes our Governor needs cash and he's not afraid to take it.

I'm going, but not vending...  It's my girls spring break, so we will spend a week in the area.

Scottie,

Are you flying in or driving out??  It is a bit of a haul , but if you are going to be there for a week I guess it will be fun.

It will be good to see you again and thanks again for the into to Alan.

Me and the girls are taking the RV...  It's a quick 20 hour drive...  Our friends are coming up from Tucson as well.  Never cooked NM, so I will have another state off our list...

We have not cooked in NM either, so that will bring our states cooked in to 3.  That does not include the state of confusion.  ;D

State of confusion....truly hear that.   :o

We havent been to Rio, but have heard to prepare for wind...as in tie those EZups down ASAP.  Just something to think about, but remember, we have never been.

Good luck!

It's all true and then some.  Last year was unseasonably mild, we're told, and there was still plenty more wind than we were used to dealing with.  Love our sandbags!
