It is held right next to a park/town square. You will be on the street next to it. Such a great little town. Not sure about Saturday night, we always got a room that night.

Hey all, what type of lettuce or garnish do you typically buy.  I have only been in 1 KCBS tournament, so I'm still trying to master the whole garnish thing.

Thanks!!  ;)

Only veggies allowed are green leaf lettuce(not red tipped), flat leaf parsley, and cilantro.

Did you take notes at your QN4U class? ;D

I sent out the app today  ;D Should be a great time ! Mike,Thom is right ,buy twice as much garnish as you will need,it's cheap and you have to pick out the best.I now use 1 small cooler just for garnsih, so it is fresh and new looking.I am still not a big fan of the whole garnish thing, but hey, what the heck we will do it  :)

I have a question for Thom,Jay,or anyone about the "anything but" entry. We can have our own platter or container for the entry right ?I mean the "anything but" does not have to be in the regular styrafoam turn-in trays right ? I have an entry I want to do,but it would not fit into the normal turn-in trays.

99 % of the time you provide your own platter, tray or whatever. The presentations can get a bit elaborate. It's fun for me to watch the creativity that I don't have.

I also see that desserts are included in anything but. Sometimes they are not allowed or they have their own category. This does mean that anything but can be cooked on anything..oven, microwave, propane, smoker, etc. as desserts are usually prepared in the ovens in the motorhomes.
