Hey the 16th sounds great.   We are leaving MN. Friday the 24th and will watch the Forum to figure out what we will bring.  Scottsdale will work just fine for us as we can make it a day trip.

Hey all, we are going to do DDog's Gift Exchange at the Holiday Party too.  It is a $25 limit and we would like to keep the theme of it BBQ related.  The way it will work is that if you want to participate in the gift exchange, you will need to bring a gift.

Then, all the gifts will be put into a pile and everyone who brought one will draw a #.  Whoever draws #1 goes first and picks a gift.  They can choose to keep it wrapped and keep it or unwrap it and see what it is.  If they unwrap it, it is then fair game to anyone else.

The person who has the next # is up, they can either "Steal" the gift from any that are open or choose another one.  If they steal, then the person they steal from can choose another gift from the pile.

A gift can only be "Stolen" 3 times, then whoever has it that 3rd time gets to keep it.

If you have never done a gift exchange like this, it is hilarious and lots of fun, so come ready to laugh and have a great time.

Should be a great party, I will post location and time details early next week.

Hope to see all of you and your families out at the event.  I'm sure the food will be exceptional... ;)

Aloha Mike =)

I am a weekend worker....for whatever that's worth! I will try to get off the 16th and 17th...If I can swing it I am sure we will be driving down early to help and stay to clean up as well. I saw ABT's on the wish list, did anyone else step up to that one? I am dying to make more pineapple crab ones =D (of course Bear will make his traditional ones as well if thats what you guys want us to make )
we will HAVE to make time to hit the asian market as I am running out of lemon grass (GASP!) are there any places near Scottsdale that sell things like that? I know there is a great one in Phoenix, we just never made it there when we were down there. I wouldnt mind stocking up on some other exotic items while off the mountain either O0

see you in a few days!!!!

There is an AJ's pretty close to hear, I don't know if they carry it or not, but if they do, it would be a great time to hit it up while you are here.

The party itself won't start until about 3, with food being served about 4 or 5 pm, so whenever you can make it down, that would be great.  I know weekends are your busy time, especially this time of year, so just work it as best you can and we look forward to seeing you both at the party.

As for the ABT's, no one has stepped up on them, so if you have time to do them, great, if not, that's totally understandable as well.

Can't wait to see you all again this weekend.

I am anticipating about 40 - 50 people.

I am not saying bring enough for everyone as I fully expect there to be plenty of food, but bring what is comfortable for you to bring.

Thanks, and we really look forward to seeing everyone here.  ;)
