Speaking of the 9 X 9 box -- at Dillon they had true 9 X 9 boxes it was hard to fill. Hope to see more of them -- Jim

Anything Butt is just that. Anything but the four items that you have already turned in. You do not have to put it in the 9x9 box. You can turn it in any way that you want. The judges have to be able to get six pieces though. If utensils are needed you have to find a way to provide them. WHATEVER YOU MAKE HAS TO BE PREPARED ON SITE!!!! You cannot go to Bashas and buy cinnimon rolls and hand them in. If you do you will be DQed. If you hand in something completely ridiculous and its obvious that you didnt cook it at the site you will be DQed. When in doubt, ask me. The purpose behind the rules being so loose is to see how creative our Arizona Barbequers are, but at the same time it has to be fair for everyone. You will be judged on presentation, creativity, and of course taste.

Aaron,

Please also clarify that it does not have to be something BBQed.  It can be a dessert or anything like that.  I know I have gotten this question a few times.

It's always a really fun category as the dishes are always very tasty...

thanks -- I was up on all the rules, but it's good for everyone to see them -- and yes made on site is always good. That 9 X 9 box is so restrictive I like the freedom of throwing rules out the window. I also think in fairness to all entrants of this class that the winners tells everyone what they made --- gets the juices flowing ---- jim
