Thought I would share my latest project with everyone. A guy at the office recently bought a trencher that came with it's own little trailer. He didn't need the trailer, and generously gave it to me. I've been wanting to build a little grill/smoker trailer for a while now, and this little trailer was well built, low to the ground and seemed like a great start for this project. So far, I've added a couple of expanded metal baskets for coolers, located an awesome adult beverage cooler at a yard sale, and tacked it on the the back. My brother in law donated a small truck tool box for the front of the trailer to hold my bbq utensils, etc. The pics below are the trailer in it's current state of completion.
The el cheapo Walmart purchased smoker we have on the trailer now isn't built well enough to handle the rigors of traveling down the road. So now I am looking at a few options to replace it. One option is a couple of UDS smokers or custom fabricating an offset smoker or something along those lines. I would like to compete someday, but right now just want to be able to take my grillin' on the road.
Let me know what you think and any suggestions you might have!
