I recently did some trading and ended up with a double door commercial refrigerator, a fairly large one. 66" wide 70" tall 36" deep and thought I'd put the question out there fishin for ideas to make a smokerout of it . I have an old wood stove for the fire box with the stove pipe coming out the back and I plan to put a damper, so I think that will work well. My wife is also concerned about the insulation inside the walls, it is stainless inside and out and looks to be tight so I'm thinking the smoke wont get to the insulation. Also should the smoke stack come from the bottom or the top? any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch

There's a series of about 10 videos on you tube a guy did. Looked pretty nice when he was done. You're only limited by your own imagination.

Being concerned about your wife I think just giving it to me would be the answer. I'll let you know how the project ends up.
Anything I can do to help!

You can't drink all day if you don't start early.

If the inside is ss and sealed good/ no cracks or spaces which is the norm for those coolers, then you should be safe!!

I have seen several smokers built using refrigerators. I have a double door unit with double pain glass glass doors. One day I will start the build when I get the other projects completed. It seems that every week I get a new project. Rock wool insulation should be used to replace any foam insulation. Keep us posted.
