I owned a similar set up for years before I bought my Lang. I would Highly recommend making sure you have some counter weights on the when you put a pig on that spit. Pigs tend to want to flop because they are off balance. I tried stuffing the cavities with chickens, which helped, and made for some of the best chicken you have ever had, but without a counter weight, you will burn up your motor. Just a heads up. Nothing like starting a 75 lb hog, and only getting half way through the cooking process with a failed motor. Not a good day......
