Rock Springs Cafe Chicken Mini Comp - Summer BBQ Series

Discussion started on

This is part of the new Rock Springs Mini BBQ Summer Series leading up to their big October Boo & Que event.

This month's meats are in the Chicken Category, Comp Chicken & Chicken Wings..

These events will be done like the mini Brisket comps we do.  You may cook these at home and bring them to the event or you can cook at the event.  Chicken is very hard to cook off site, so we HIGHLY Encourage all of you to cook your chicken on site for this month's event.

Teams can show up starting at Noon on the day of the event and the event will begin at 5 pm with the first turn in.  2nd Turn in will be at 5:45 pm.

You do not have full site setups, the site sizes are just 15 X 10 or 20 X 10. We can work with you if you need something bigger, but we don't have a ton of space for these events.

Samples to the Public are encouraged as this event will be in conjunction with their Monthly Hogs in Heat events.  Samples will work the way we normally do them, $2 per sample to the public with $1 going back to the teams and $1 going to the charity that is out helping out with that month's event.  We plan to have 4 different charities for the 4 different summer events.

Normal price for the Hogs in Heat event is $12 per person, anyone from our group will get a discount of $2 per person, so our costs will just be $10 per person, so you are encouraged to stay and enjoy the event and bands as well as encouraged to invite all of your friends & family..

Cost to compete in these mini events $20 per team per month to enter in advance, $25 via Pay Pal or $30 day of event.  For each event you enter, you will receive a $25 credit toward the October event, so if you compete in all 4 of these Rock Springs events, you will get $100 off your entry cost for the October Boo & Que event.

The winner of each month's event will also receive an additional $25 off the entry into the October event, so if you enter and win all 4 of these mini events, you will get $200 off your entry to the October event.  (Entry for that event has not been determined yet, but it will most likely be around $200 - $225.).

Come on out and enjoy a fun event, get the public a chance to taste some great BBQ.

Entry Forms will be available Shortly..

Come on out and support this great concept for Summer BBQ and Rock Springs.  They have been great to us over the past few years and we have a fantastic relationship with them.

This should be a fun summer..

Hey all, due to the Excessive Heat warnings for this Saturday, if you want to fully cook your chicken & wings at home and then bring them up, you may do so.

Just make sure that they are FULLY cooked and that you have a way of keeping them hot/warm.

Ideally, we would like you to cook the chicken onsite, but we understand with the heat expected, it might be chasing some away.

Post up, we would love to see more of you out there..
