Me too Mike.  Between work and the baby it makes it hard for me to do comps really close together.

I can understand that.  Just let me know..

If God wanted us to be Vegetarians, why did he make animals out of meat??

Just got today's mail and we are now up to 11 Team Entries for this event.

I still know of 5 more that said they are "In the Mail", so that puts us at 16.

Not too bad.  Hopefully we can get to 20 - 30 teams for this event.  It is shaping up to be a fun one for sure.

How late could a team show up?  Mesquite is the week prior and my vacation time is pretty much spent.  I'm hoping to be able to compete in this one and hopefully get some fishing in on Sunday.
We have a catch and release trout lake right in town. It is close and there are some very large trout in there.

The hardest thing about smoking meat is keeping it lit.

Mebbe a dumb question, but do you need a AZ fishing license for catch & release?

Unless it's a private lake, you still need a license.

And just to be clear, it's not catch and release into your frypan or smoker..

If you send in an application for people's choice remember you can't use latex gloves and make sure you put the right temps down. I heard from the health inspector today and they are really working with us, so don't let the application deter you in doing people's choice, there are only a couple of us doing it so far.  I am trying to get ribs donated, I will let everyone know when I know. Thanks again to everyone for the support and in making this a successful event.

Mike,

Do you have someone that could serve the extra meats from the teams that don't serve pc? Then the charity can keep all of the profit from the meat? Just a thought.
