Well I did not actually "smoke" the shepherds pie, but it was made from smoked meat loaf.

We had some meat loaf left over and a need to cook something for my in-laws who came over the watch the Chargers lose.

We took the left over meat loaf dropped it in a pan, covered that with frozen peas and carrots (easy) and then covered  it all with home made mashed red potatoes, skin left on.  Cooked at 375 or so for about an hour added cheese for the last few mins.

Here is the outcome...

I looove shepherd's pie!  I just made it a few weeks ago when I thought the weather was actually getting cold again!  My grandmother used to put Guinness in with the meat (just like she did with her pot roast) and it was so good with a good piece of bread slathering with butter.  Oh how I miss being a kid...

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

Man o man!  that looks awesome!  Really dig the sheperd's pie, dude.  Also like the idea of incorporating Guinness in with the meat.......speaking of which, now THAT would be a great beer to offer the beggars at the next home game! ;)

Nice work, Kid!
