This is Lance Anthony with Anthony Spices.  Anthony Spices specializes in chili pepper based spices including Chipotle, Jalapeno, Habanero, Hatch and much much more.  I am looking for a great rub recipe that I could put together for the AZ Barbeque members here in Arizona.  If you have a recipe that you would like to share with me, please post it here or email me at azspices@anthonyspices.com.  If you want to know a little more information about my company, please go to www.anthonyspices.com.  I look forward to hearing from you!
Talk to you later.

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

That recipe looks great.  I started playing around with it last night.  I need to get some Turbinado so the quick fire cookers can get a great flavor without burning.  My company can do private labeling and I think it would be a great idea to put together the "AZBarbeque Rub", with logo and everything, to it's members at the next event.  I will put together a nice label and see what Mike wants to do.  Of course it is going to have some chili pepper kick to it so beware!

Ok....I think I have it.  Thanks to all for the recipes and ideas.  I have a really great blend of spices that will knock your socks off.  I will talk to Mike to get his opinion on this particular blend of spices that include:
Chili Pepper, Tomatillo, Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Cumin, Hickory Smoked Salt, Turbinado, Ground Mustard, Smoked Garlic, Chipotle, Paprika and more.  It is a very complex taste and a little on the hot side but a lot of that will cook down to just the right taste.  It will be call AZBarbeque "Arizona Heat"

How is this coming along? I dont know much about making rubs yet. I do try to do the homemade thing but all are from already proven recipes. Then I add some extra stuff to try to suit my tastes.  I am looking at creating my very own rub one of these days though.
