Oven Kalua Pork
3-4 lbs. pork butt
2 c water
1 t liquid smoke (it's not just for boiling ribs  :D )
1/4 c coarse Hawaiian sea salt
Put pork fat side up in a pan, mix liquid smoke with water and pour over the meat.  Sprinkle with salt.  Cover and roast in 400 degree oven for ~3 hours or until tender.  Remove from pan and shred meat.

Hawaiian Macaroni Salad
1/2 lb. elbow macaroni
1/4 c shredded carrots
1 c Best Food mayonnaise
S & P to taste
Cook macaroni until tender, drain and rinse with cold water.  Combine mayonnaise and milk and whisk until incorporated, add salt and pepper.  Add carrots to macaroni, then add dressing and mix until well coated.

Rice
Well, it's just plain ol' white rice...

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

Nice job. That recipe works well. We have that same recipe in a few Hawaiian community cookbooks..If it's good enough for Kama'aina, it's just good.

Nobody disrespecting...Did you "meet" her? Jeanie recently joined our humble group, and comparing either of you to the other is a token of utmost respect. She's very active over on smokingmeatforum. And keep posting those tempting treats!
