My name is Jeff, I go by Wolfie. My wife and I are fairly new to Arizona, We relocated here from Indiana. Our interest is BBQ, Motorcycle touring and spend lots of time doing both.  I enjoy BBQ; however, I I’m searching for the perfect sauce. It cracks me up when we travel to different BBQ events and observe competitors who spend so much time on their art just to destroy it with some chain store sauce.
SOOOOOO If anyone has any type of BBQ sauce recipe they would like to share, I would be more then happy to give you feed back. lol

Glad you came on board, Wolfie. I made a batch of sauce that started life as ketchup, which I hate, with molasses and spices. Still tasted like ketchup. Blech! Then I started adding honey, various vinegars, other goodies, until it tasted like BBQ. It was pretty good. When I tried to duplicate it, it had 4X too much vinegar, so I wound up adding stuff again. Came up with a different batch almost as good. Took some of that and added bourbon. That was interesting, but too much bourbon. Added Habanero salsa to Bourbon BBQ. WOW, THAT WAS GREAT! And pretty darned hot!
Mezzetta's Habanero Twist and Shout is pretty damned warm stuff. Quarter cup in 1 1/2 lbs of hamburger for meatballs makes some spicy ones!!

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!
