My name is Josh but I go by Frank the Tank on forums.  I live in the west valley but was raised in SC with my family being from NC.  I still feel that the state bird of NC should be changed to the pig and if god didn't want me to eat cows he would have made the so dumb, slow and delicious.

I am really just getting started in the BBQ world, I have been making my own sauce for about a year now and I am still trying to make a rub that I love instead of like.  I still have a lot of work to do on my sauce.

Welcome to the site!  We've all been in your shoes, heck, some of us still are!!  We've got an event next weekend so you should come out and meet some of us fine BBQ people

All I can thinkof when I hear "Frank the Tank" is the movie Old School with Will Farrell when he's streaking.  Too funny, but let's hope it never happens a competition!!

Welcome aboard Josh. You've fallen' in with probably one of the active group on the net. If you have any question at all, serve them up. You'll probably get more answers and different views than you could imagine. Again welcome.

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

Welcome Josh (Frank the Tank),

it took me 13 years to find a sauce I love 8) 8)
practice, practice and yes more practice.

don't forget to write it down while making it... I did that mistake only once!
I made a sauce and all my friends were really impress by it, but I never even took notes, so I was stuck trying to remember and guessing for the next few months until I managed to get the same response again!

cheers,
Martin
