Want to introduce myself..I'm Chris in Goodyear. Just picked up a new 18.5 WSM at BBQ Island. The guys were really courteous and helpful, showing me this forum. New to smoking. Just returned from Iraq and have been an avid cook and outdoor griller, so I couldn't wait to come home and start a new adventure. Q'd all day yesterday. I'm hooked. Did a couple of recipes from Virtual Weber Bullet yesterday, basic whole chicken and 3 slabs of ribs over the good one lump charcoal and apple wood. Invited the neighbors over and had some good grub! For my first time, I guess I got lucky 'cause everything came out great, better than I expected. Thanks guys!

Chris, WELCOME once again, great to have you.  Glad you found us.  Those guys over at BBQ Island are great and i'm sure they gave you a great deal on the WSM.

Just got back from Iraq?  What branch of the Military were you in?  Thanks for your service, it's great men and women like you who make this country what it is and we are very proud of all of you.  My son just joined the Army and will be shipping out in Feb for 3 years in Afganistan.

I look forward to seeing you online here and hearing about your BBQing experiences.  Make sure to take pictures, we LOVE pictures.

Hope to meet you out at some of our events soon as well.
