      Hello everybody. My name is Rodney and my wife is Tracey. We just moved to Chandler area a couple of months ago and are looking for new friends. We are from Illini country but don't hold that against us. I catered BBQ & Steaks as a second job and let me tell you midwest BBQ is a lot different than southwest BBQ. I am looking forward to learning the southwest way but am going to need some help. I am just getting ready sign up the Stagecoach event so if there is anyone out there that has participated in any competitions and would want to join a new team, I would really apreciate it.        I just bought a BIG 50 Diamond Plate and it is supposed to be here shortly, right Mike. LOL. I am really looking forward to meet a lot of you at this event. Besides, any help would be appreciated as this is my first competition.

       Thanks a lot to Mike, this looks like a great sight to meet new friends and ask a lot of questions. I can't tell you how much I have got off the forum already in the last few days. I feel like I know a lot of you already. A lot of good information and sounds like great people.

Great to have you on here finally.  For those of you who were out at the Pulte Event, Rodney drove all the way out late at night, after 10 pm to meet me and talk about cookers and Arizona in general.  I'm sure you will have lots of great times cooking out here, both catering and competing.

If anyone is looking to get their feet wet or just help out a newbie at competitions, this would be a great opportunity.  The Stagecoach event is going to be great and I'm sure you don't want to miss it.  Contact Rodney and let him know if you are interested, I'm sure you all will have fun.

 Welcome Rodney. I dont think anyone will hold beinbg from Illinois against you.  A HUGE population of Arizona are from the midwest. Most people in knew growing up in Tucson are from IL,IN,MI, and OH.

Welcome Rod! I am new here too. Sounds like you have pretty nice set-up! I may get to see you at Stagecoach. We aren't competing, but we are going to try to get out there to get a feel for the whole atmosphere. We are new to this scene.
