Howdy all.  My name is Pete and I live in Tempe.  While I have been grilling for a while, I just picked up a WSM and am anxious to put it together and start smokin'  My wife gave me a BBQ Class for Christmas.  I traveled to LA a few weeks ago to attend BBQ 101 taught by Harry Soo.  For those of you who watch BBQ Pitmasters on TLC, he's on the Slap Yo Daddy team.  It was a great class and I think I learned a lot to become dangerous.  Using his tips, I already have prepared tri-tip (on a borrowed smoker) which I was happy with.  I look forward to chatting with you all and hope to be able to attend an event in the near future!

Glad you've joined up. Harry is an incredible cook! He was here in March for the first Tempe Que and Brew. And I saw the blog stating that Famous Dave was in his class. That's pretty neat that you were in the same class.
