Hello, my name is Keith Finkle, I am a native of Arizona, and have been married to my wife, Tiffany, since 2005.  I have served in the Army since 2004 and am currently transitioning into my post military career by attending ASU.  It is my goal to own and operate a BBQ restaurant in Tempe and eventually run a nonprofit organization in the area supporting veterans.  I am currently interning at Robbie Fox's Public House under the mentorship of a prior service member.  I hope to learn as much as I can from those in the area with the same love of BBQ.

Thanks everyone, I want to highlight my blog I started to support my efforts in studying abroad.  The plan is to go to Ireland this summer and I want to share and document the experience.

Cool blog! But why would you want to leave 118 degrees to spend the summer in Ireland? :D
Actually, when you get there you may want to introduce the locals to the wonders of American BBQ. You never know. Your BBQ career path might lead you to opening a Que joint in the Emerald Isle.

Mark- Thanks for the kind words.
Pat- I had never heard of peat moss, but it has quite the history to it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I'll have to mention it to the owner at Robbie's.

It makes you wonder what peat smoke would do. It's what gives scotch its smoky taste. (Irish whiskey doesn't have it.)

Thanks Crash, it's good to be here. Just so you guys know, it's my plan to be at the BBQ and beer festival in Chandler in March. If anyone is going to be there I would love the opportunity to meet some people to have BBQ like discussions. I have a lot to learn and have always relied on people who have done something before myself.
