I was introduced to your site by Quig and the Smokin Dead Meat BBQ team. It sounds like they are having a blast with the compitions in the southwest. I've known Quig Shorty and Robin for a gob of years.
I've been using 2 Weber's for 17 years and now have a Smoky Mountain Series gas smoker with them. I'm looking forward to learning how to slow cook, and from reading some of the forum posts it looks like this is the place.
I'll share some of my successes and failures to the common good!

Welcome to the forum, Dave. We needed more Daves.
Dave.

Haha. I've been wowed at how wonderful the BBQ community is across the board. Or boards as the case may be. But, tho' I've only been "here" since Sept., they've welcomed me and guided me, answer my questions and generally let me pick their brains here. I've not yet MET any of these wonderful folks, but if I wasn't married, I'd invite them all to my wedding! Partly because then I'd get a bunch of sauces and rubs...

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!
