Mark's right.  They are easily the best bet for everything you need from cooking to heating wood......hands down!

What part of town? I know of a lot off'n Greenway Parkway and 16th Street, if you balk at driving all the way down to BBFW. OTOH, BBFW has pretty good prices for a "BAG" of wood, and he treats us really well. And almost always has a good selection of great stuff.

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

I've tried the stuff at 16th street and Greenway.  Berry Brothers is worth the drive.

It seemed like you don't get as much for your $ there, fo sho. His wheelbarrow full for $40 didn't seem like much more'n ya get for $20ish at BBFW.

Yeah, not sure I follow all that, but a 1/4 chord at Berry Brothers is a little more, but well worth it.

I wanted to say thank you to Thomas at Berry Bros. I stopped by the lot today to pick up some Oak, and got some good advice. I even got a little sample of some new flavor wood to try.

Of course it helps I only work about half a mile away, but I got some great help! 8)
