Hey all, we have been talking with The Hog Pit Smokehouse & Catalina BBQ Company down in Tucson about coming down there for a weekend.

Right now, we are planning on doing a one Meat & Side (Brisket & Beans) comp at Catalina BBQ co. on Saturday and then doing a social/BBQ Crawl at The Hog Pit on Sunday.

The weekend we are looking at is Labor Day weekend.

Question to all of you, would you be up for doing this?  We would ideally like to have at least 20 members participate in both events.

Danny is looking into Room Discounts/Specials at the J.W. there and it would be great to have a bunch of us stay.

Frank, Not at these events.  There might be an RV Park somewhere close to Starr Pass, but I'm not sure.

Typically on these one meat comps, we try to do meats that hold a long time.  This way, people can cook them in the comfort of their own home & then put them in Cambros to transport.

I know Starr Pass is working on putting together a room deal for anyone who wants to come down & spend the night.  As soon as I have that info, I will post it up.

I'm in on this. The pork butt one a while back was a blast. I've been wondering when another one like this would pop up down here in Tucson.
