http://www.intravising.com/sundowner.pdfI stopped in last night for dinner. It was pretty dead. No customers were there for at least 30 min. A couple came in as I was leaving.
The inside was clean. They did a decent job giving it some personality. There were two men working there, neither were very social though I won't hold that against them.
Here are some photos I snapped. They were taken with my phone so sorry about the quality.
I had the brisket dinner for $8.99. It came with two sides and corn bread. It wasn't a sandwich but it sat on bread.
For an overall meal the price seemed reasonable. I do wish there was slightly more meat in exchange for one of the sides. I'd say there was about 8 oz of brisket at most.
It came with sauce on it. The sauce was a little tangy, with no sweetness or spicy-ness to it. It dominated the brisket's taste. I myself prefer to have the sauce suppliment the meat rather than dominate it.
The corn on the cob was good, it's hard to screw that up.
The beans were a little disappointing. I see the beans, I can feel them as they hit my tongue but as soon as I bite down they have dissolved. It just felt like I was eating a cup of sauce in the end.
The corn bread was decent though a little bland. I've had better.
Overall, I thought it was an average meal. I'll probably give it another try and see how their ribs are but I've had better brisket.
