J. Ruggs Southern BBQ

Today in the AZ Republic (in the separate community specific section called the Ahwatukee Republic) there was a review of a BBQ Restaurant called J. Ruggs Southern BBQ.  I've never heard of it but they got a pretty good review.  They're located at 6610 E. Baseline Rd in Mesa.

I read the same review today.  It might be a place we can go to as a group.  If I remember I might stop by next Wednesday for lunch (of course wearing my AZBBQ shirt) and check it out.

Been there a couple of times. Food is great. What the article didn't say was how good there brisket is. Best I've had around here.
Place is kinda small for much of a group, tho.

Hey Dave, been there a few times?? Where was the review??  You know we love Restaurant reviews..

LOL, my bad...  Guess I should have looked for it first before I called you out..

That's what happens when we get multiple threads on the same topic or restaurant..

Now I really have to get in there and try it out.  Next week I should be able to.  Have to get into the new one that just opened up in Scottsdale as well.  Old owners of the Bad to the Bone Restaurant..

That's what's great about this site, if now talking about cooking food we're talking about eating food.  But funny as it may seem 2 weeks ago my cholesterol was the lowest ever.  Doc said keep up the good work so now more BBQ.....
