Anyone know what happened to Bad to the Bone BBQ on FLW & Scottsdale Rd.?

They never got on board here. That'll do a place in.

I would imagine they just could not make it.  Their Cost for each month was $25K.  That's a lot of BBQ Sandwiches to sell and I never saw them that busy.

Besides, they never did any sort of advertising.  We tried to get in there a few times and do a club event, but they never got back with us.

Sad as I thought they had fairly good BBQ..

Unfortunately, my sentiments exactly.  I don't know why a place like that would not advertiser on here and support the local BBQ Community.  They of all places should have seen the value..

$25k a month, how big of a place was it??  That is a lot of pulled pork to cover that nut, wow. 

But, was there any equipment in it??  I need some stuff.

What do you need.  Type in Restaurant on Craigslist and there are lots and lots of places that have things.

How is it coming along?  We are certainly looking forward to your Grand Opening..

Hey Mike,

Yes, I have been looking at Craigs, and several of the discounter/Liquidators too.  Just putting the list together.  We have submitted the plans, I am putting it out for bid. 

karyn and I are doing some of the easy stuff, like painting, some demo ect.  Trying to keep the costs down. 

we are looking at March or April for the opening. 

We will keep you posted as to the progress.

I am not suprised they closed,I have been in there 3 times for lunch when they were open and with all the car dealerships and airpark bussiness there they still only had about 10 people there for lunch every time I was there.The overhead killed Redfish that used to be in there from what I was told too.Too bad,the food was ok and the resteraunt was a pretty nice BBQ set-up.Well it was fish,then BBQ,maybe now it will be "Long Duck Dong's" chinese buffet
