Holy crap am I missing something here...what make the Ranch Kettle worth a grand?!?! After seeing the thread on this I priced it on Amazon (not to mention why is the Craigs list guy taking a bath...good luck Rhythm I hope you score!)...damn it's only stamped metal with a little glaze just like their silver and gold's, only a foot and a half bigger.  The Gold is only $139.00.... I admit it looks awesome and would love to have one in my yard, but a 22.5" WSM for $500.00 would be better.  So some fun here...Black =them, red= me.

Stats...

Primary cooking area: 1104 sqr. In.   Uhh in my back yard with a beer?
Ass catcher: Yes.  It better have!
Cleaning system: N/A.  HHmmmm should have married better..
Handles: Yes.  Corners, straight aways?
Work Table: No.
Cooking grates: Triple nickel plated hinged.  I could live with double plated..

Mobility: Locking casters.  Of course, keeps gramma nearby.
Lid: Porcelain enameled bowl and lid.  Oh man I remember the pocelain bowl but thank god the lid was up already.
Cook box composite: Porcelain enameled bowl and lid.  See above.
Attachments: No.  Uh I am married, who you think let me by the WSM?
Additional information: N/A  ???
Gas ignition: No.
Heat thermometer: No.
Tool holder: Yes  Better be soft!
Vent: Yes  That is what I am doing now.
Cook Book: Yes
Tanked: No  Yup, bad day.

Dave Dave Dave. We are talking bbq here. You are acting way to conservative for bbq. We are not talking about this cooker OR something else. We are talking about this cooker AND something else. If there is a 22.5 Weber WSM out there. I'm sure I would own it. I am back to 18 grills and smokers now. Only four of them are gas...soon to be three.
Dave, relax, take a deep breath and let bbq karma flow through your veins. That's it....that's right..........

Now go spend some money on a new cooker!!!!!!!!!!!! That's it....it's ok...you only live once my friend. ;)

A few things to consider about the ranch Kettle and Jay.  First, he has finally got the number of existing cookers under 20 and is feeling a little unsure what to do.  Answer, buy a couple more to get back to 20.

Second, he has been picking up soooooo much money from the recent comps, that he now uses $100 dollar bills to starts the fires in the cookers.   ;D

Finally, nobody else on the block has a Weber ranch.

That sumB!t@h is mine!!!

Brand new, never seen fire (that'll soon change), has been sitting in a warehouse for two years collecting dust.

And it's mine, mine, mine!!!

Ok, I'll settle down a little now.  We're also picking up a few other things they have sitting around.  They were a catering company that closed down and are now in the business of building custom barbeque trailers and smokers as well as ATV trailers.  They have a boatload of catering equipment that they are going to post on Craigslist but we got a guided tour and made a deal to also purchase two electric steam trays for use when PCing or serving at private parties, some full and half steam trays and lids, a large stock pot and maybe another thing or two when we go back to pick up the Ranch Kettle.

They also had a large Hobart mixing machine and a brand new smaller version, lots of pans, pots, steam trays, bowls, bun warmers, more electric steam trays, etc.  And it is all going up on Craigslist.

But that damn Ranch Kettle is mine, mine, mine, all mine!!!

Bwahahahahahahaha!!!

Nice, Congrats on the new addition Vince, pretty soon, you are going to need a full size box truck to haul it all.

Just an FYI, when you talk with him, let him know he can post it over here as well as we have lots of members who don't always go to Craigslist that might be interested.

Thanks and I look forward to seeing you in action with your new toy.  ;)

Hey Vince,

Way to go, sounds like a great score.  I would trade Jay for the brand new one and his Brisket receipe.  Heck, I have a lot of Bud steins that I would trade for some brisket, ribs, chicken and what the heck Pork help???

whatcha think Jay???

Gee, Jay.  I mean, we love you and all, but I would think that a brand new, never cooked in, cherry Ranch Kettle with official Budweiser logos might be worth considerably more than a generic boxed one.  I'm just sayin'.
