Saw this smoker for sale on Craigslist.  Looks like it's in good shape.  New, they're $160.00 (not "over $400.00", as listed in the ad.

He is looking for a sucker to sell to. He cannot expect someone who knows what these are to pay that much.

He's selling it for 75 bucks.  That's not bad, it's in good shape.  He just said to compare them at Bass Pro for over 400 bucks.  They're not that much, but still a deal for 75.

That's exactly like mine. I hope he's not trying to burn those tree trunks in that firebox to smoke meat. He'll get a lump of creosote. His looks to be in better shape than mine. Not too hard to pull that off. If they come with all the grates and heat shields, they do run that much new.

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

It's kinda ok for money I guess...had a chargriller smoke n pro in Hawaii, cause..well...I was in Hawaii..They are thin, leak like a sieve and need uninteruppted attention...you can do some cheap mods to make life a "little" easier...charcoal baskets and minion method is a joke. Had some days where it held steady, and others where i'd have temp dips and spikes...better to just add a handful of fuel to maintain...with some mods you can at least get rid of hotspots and avoid rotating the meat constantly...all in all...I'd rather make some homemade stacker for my weber kettle grill or a bds than mess around with an SnP. If it's what ya got...i can work. If you don't mind camping in the yard with a cooler full of beverages and have good tunes it can work. Outside of that...keep looking down the road.
