Vince,   That's a great idea having them stacked on top of each other, fantastic basting method.  I bet those came out very moist and tender.

Beer Can Chicken is my favorite chicken.

It's working out pretty well.  I ran across a sale on whole chickens on Thursday, $0.59/lb. and decided to make a run on them.

I've got six in there, 3 on each grate and I have the cans filled with about 4 oz. of apple juice.  The cooker is running at 250°F and I just pulled the top three off as they were measuring in the upper 170s°F and they're resting in a full pan.  The lower three will probably need another hour to hit that mark which is about the time I'll start pulling the meat off the first three.
