Well I got a wild hair of an idea and decided to make scotch eggs and then put them on the smoker. You can smoke anything, can't you??
I put them on at the same time I did my bacon over the weekend. I smoked them for 2 hours at 150 degrees then took them inside to the oven at 400 for 10 min to crisp them up. These were awesome!!

To make them, just wrap a Hard boiled egg in any sausage you like and then roll in breadcrumbs.  You can add bacon wraps or any thing else you can imagine.

I also had a wild hair and tried to deep fry them on my comerical wok. I got them a little brown but they still tasted great!

Yeah, Colt! A wok like that could make me a very happy man!! Looks like what they use at Pei Wei's. Man, those people can cook with abandon, huh?
Very nice outdoor kitchen setup. You're gonna be hot cooking anyway, might as well do it outside, keep the house cool!!

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

Checking in on my cell phone, so I couldn't see the pics. The eggs sounded great. Can't wait to son them at home. I have a wok top for my Weber kettle that I like to make stir-fry on. Any excuse to make a fire!

The smoked ones were better than the fried ones. The entire sausage wrap 'was' the smoke ring. They were awesome

They call 'em Scotch eggs cuz the resultant gaseous emanations smell like Scotch, right? Cuz they're best washed down with Scotch?
I dunno, but they sound awfully yummy. I'd risk the emanations to eat a couple of those.
Can we cook anything healthy on these things? Anybody for some smoked Kashi?
Oh, yeah. Turkeys. And chickens. They're boring compared to bacon wrapped sausage blobs wrapped around bacon...
