The local food store has a sale going on flanken style beef, short ribs. I picked up a few packs of them and made some kalbi (korean short ribs) on the grill last night.
I marinated them for a few hours in a mixture of honey, shoyu, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and some red chile flakes. Served it with some jasmine rice (kim chee went bad in the fridge).
The pictures are in limbo on adobe photo. I will try and retreive them later. Man was that some good rib. I direct grilled them over a handfull of coals. They came out VERY tender and moist. How tender? Let's just say I could have grabbed a chisel and hammer, and knocked out all my teeth and still enjoyed them. I had no need for a knife, or even a fork. Just chopsticks
