Cooked some 1/2 chickens Sunday to get ready for Rawhide and they were awsome if I must say. Here's how it went ---
Brine -- 1 cup salt 1 cup sugar 1 gallon of water packed in ice 3 hours
Marinate -- Italian dressing overnight
Rubbed 3 hours before  cooking --
WOW was it good ---

Using my Weber Grill -- placed the coals to one side and placed the 1/2 chickens on the other with a little apple sticks for smoke. Gave them 2 1/2 hours and let rest about 20 mins in a covered pan --- gotta get some pictures --- jim
