Thanks! Yeah I surprised myself... Can't wait for leftovers tonight! Lets see, I put in shrimp, chicken, onion, green bell pepper, celery, garlic, tomatoes, bay leaves, hot sauce, rice, Andouille sausage and of course a nice dark roux! There was some other stuff in there but I kept it pretty traditional.

Just my 2 cents, but I've spent plenty of time in the bayous of SW Louisiana and the photo looks more gumbo-like. Jambalaya is traditionally drier, more like paella. And unlike gumbo, I never heard of a jambalaya using a roux. Either way, it looks mighty tasty. :P Good job!

Being from New Orleans and going back there 2-3 a year, this look more like a susuage/shimp etoufee, but it does looks good.  However things are done differently everywhere. I don't use any roux in my jambalaya, only my gumbo, or crawfish/shimp etouffee.
