I was talking to Mike, it's been a while since the last BBQ Crawl, and was thinking we should hit a couple of places. While we're at it we could hold the BCS 2012 Awards. Maybe Superbowl Satuarday Febuary 2. What do y'all think? Post up with your thoughts, and ideas.

I thought Mike was scheduling something for SuperBowl Sunday with Kevin at Whiskey Ranch Saloon. We had it there last year and have had a few SuperBowl potlucks for AZ BBQ there. Maybe Mike can shed some light on this.

I was hoping it was going to be at Kevins new place,North 51 Grill,it's better set-up for a Superbowl type party and has more TV screens to watch the game.

I think Bob was suggesting the BBQ Crawl on the Saturday before Superbowl Sunday.  Sounds like fun, wish we could make it.

Yeah I see that Crash. It makes sense though that if we are going to combine the BBQ Crawl with the 2012 BCS Awards that we should do it in conjunction with the annual AZ BBQ SuperBowl Potluck like in years past.

Guys,  I never heard anything back from Kevin.  I know he has been swamped with his new bar & his other ventures.  With the Superbowl only being a few weeks away, we just wanted to get something planned.  Also, each year, the Superbowl costs me a lot of money.  In years past, we have been able to get some Sponsors to help cover some of these costs, but this year, we just have not had any sponsors step up to assist and quite frankly, we just don't have the money to put on a huge extravaganza like in year's past.

We have had many members, both new & old ask about our infamous BBQ Crawls and we thought this would be the best of both worlds.  Do one on Superbowl Saturday & enjoy some great BBQ while doing the awards as well.

Cheryl, Bob & I are in the process of talking with BBQ Restaurants now.

My initial thought was to hit the two in Chandler that are right next door to each other, Can't Stop Smoking BBQ & Rudy's BBQ.  That would make it convenient and simple.

Rudy's would be very cool, Texas BBQ house is somewhat central, maybe even Honey Bears.  I'm game for whatever and am happy to see it be on Saturday rather than Sunday.
