If God wanted us to be Vegetarians, why did he make animals out of meat??

That is a good price. The best I'd seen was $149. with free shipping on Amazon. You'll enjoy it. I use mine on my WSM.

For cooking, lower and slower. For spices, mo' hotter, mo' better. Habaneros rule!

If it's a round 22 1/2" kettle, why won't it work?

Well my gift arrived today...WOOHOO! Of course I just had to break it in right away, so I got me a chicken, rubbed it with some olive oil and sprinkled her with Plowboy's Yardbird Rub. I used some elastic food-grade string-type ties that came with my Ronco rotisserie...they definitely come in handy. This was an extremely moist and juicy bird. Here are some pics. I forgot to take one when it was done...too busy scarfing it down!

I can't wait to rotate a few more things!

From the product description:
The Weber 2290 Kettle Rotisserie works with the following 22 1/2 inch Weber Grills: One Touch Silver, One Touch Gold, One Touch Gold in Blue, and One Touch Gold in Green.

They didn't list it. Must not work...

They don't list my 22 1/2" WSM, but it works. I think the problem is that the lids aren't designed to work, but with alittle ingenuity, it works.

This is the best Weber accessory ever, I use mine all the time!  It's probably ~10 years old so it is the Weber quality you'd expect.

Wife got me the same rotisserie 22 1/2" for Christmas about 10+ years ago. Sooo versatile. I love it and use it all the time. Rarely use the weber for regular grilling - unless it's Prime Rib - it is almost always rotisserie, you get so much flavor and incredible juiciness with the roundie/round. Go get a generic flat square rotisserie basket at Lowe's, that is the only store around here that carries them, about 10 bucks. You can do at any given time 8 - 10 chicken thighs; 2 tri-tips; 2 racks of baby backs; a slab of salmon; a couple of porterhouses, t-bones, or ribeyes...  any number of meats that will fit for a fast smoke on the kettle. Indirect, a good 20 min smoke then 20 min to finish depending on the meat and your desired doneness. We use the rotisserie basket for almost everything except whole chickens (you can get 2 on at a time) - nice string job on that puppy by the way!! Oh and we also use just the rod for whole beef or tenderloin or boneless pork roast too. Cornish Game Hens too are great for just the rod, you can get about 4 of those.
The drip pan is great since all the juices of the meat are rolling around so we put wine or beer and fresh herbs into that to help infuse into the meat.
Love love love our rotisserie attachment and any questions you might have feel free to PM me. Would love to share some recipes and tips!!
