Title: It continues
Post by: Mike Allison on May 30, 2012, 04:39:39 pm
Found the 18.5" WSM on craigslist last night and couldn't help myself.  Maybe I shouldn't be trolling craigslist at night?  Now, where does one hide one of these so the wife doesn't see?

When you get enough of them, you can just tell the wife that it was there all along and she did not notice it. I have found that it works for most of us. ;D

move it further from porch and put the little one behind the big one.  Then you can tell her it's an optical illusion or just the shadow.

oh, or you can put the cover from the big one over it and tell her that the cover stands up on its own for ease of use.

Seriously, you guys are good at this!  All I got was a, "what are you going to do with the El Cheapo out in the yard?"  I replied, "Nothing, I have these two WSM's now."  The response went something like this.... wait for it....  ::)

Ok, so the shadows thing is busted.  Now what?  I suggested double vision, but that's only going to hold up for a little while.

That's a great set up Mike.... but where is Senor Tetanus? The double barreled, unwelded, fuel hog smoking wonder?

Mike~
You just have to tell her that it's a "rescue", part of a new adoption group that place rescues with new homes....

The Big Baby sits in the backyard crying now, but she's still there.  It's more of an event than a smoker.  One of the teams out at Campo this past weekend had one as well...... pretty sure they beat us too  :'(

Maybe I can convince her that we're being subsidized for the program with all the meat I'm "being given"

I distinctly recall someone saying, "looks like you're more likely to get tetanus than bbq from that thing."

Someone said the same thing about our cooker. Except I think they said "syphllis." 8)

That is amazing. You can never have too many Q'in or grilling tools. I just got lucky too. My wife found a Weber Silver on one of our local facebook yardsale groups. She told me it was free, and she was going to go pick it up the next day.  ;D :D ;D When I got to look at it after work the next day... all I can say is WOOHOO!!! Barely used, maybe 2 or 3 times. The only problem, well it was free, is it is missing the wheel locks nuts. The little cap nuts that keep the wheels on the axle bar...LOL  ;D I love my wife. She is always looking out for me.
