That aside, Williams is a great town who puts on a superb event and I hope they can put another together for all of us to have fun to make money for a couple great charities. I hope everyone attends to make it special and watch Loot n Booty best their RGC to 2 RGC's behind our first GC ;D ;D

Please dont take this wrong Tim but I was born and raised in Williams and had businesses there for over 40 years, have a home and Family there today and was the vendor at last years event. I even donated my entire proceeds from the 1st nights meals to the charities and for the life of me I cant locate Chuck since he shut down his business yet a team who was banned from the event gets an email announcing a new event. I feel like I am in Kansas and I just cant find my dog, Toto.

Tim, please do me a favor and next time you talk to Chuck ask him to call me, my number and email are the same for 20 years but the number I have for him was disconnected and his address has new residents.

I'm surprised you didn't get an email Brandon. If I remember correctly weren't you at one point also on the banned list in Williams after the Sam's/Arlie Bragg fiasco? I also like Chuck and the event but pretty much for the same reasons as Tim I can't go back there either.
Oh well, there's much more reputable people to deal with and plenty of other events to have a good time at like Chandler or Surprise for example.

Brandon,I will have Chuck get ahold of you.I REALLY like Williams, when Chuck e-mailed me about the event I was thrilled, couldn't wait to get back,I sure was hoping ALL the drama from last year would be aside, gone, and over with.I can't and won't be a part of ANY event Arlie does, there are several reasons, but that doesn't matter,I was just hoping Chuck or someone else would be running this event,we sure would have liked to be there Williams is a great town and we miss the event.I hope this event does great though for the town, and all the teams,we will see everyone at another one.Brandon,I will give Chuck the message from you.

We will probably do this again as well. Had a great time last year, my 6yo just set up a chair and watched the trains go by for 2 days. He still talks about it. Nice people and well run.

We were at one of the first ones and you're right, nice place and nice people especially if you like trains.

Received an email from Chuck and pending approval from the Chamber of Commerce this event looks like a winner. A June date is ideal weather wise missing the wind and rains which usually appear July 4th. I look forward to Arlie working with the group again, He knows how to setup and run successful events such as one of my favorites, Smokin in Mesquite and Last years Williams. Looks like fun!

Wow,I am suprised to hear you say that Brandon,if it hadn't been for Chuck last year Arlie would have banned you  too.

I'm sure the issue you speak of lead to Brandon and Arlie coming to an understanding and for coming to that understanding, I'm sure they respect each other more or at the very least understand the others opinion and/or situation at the time.  I think for most everyone, BBQ is the most important thing on this forum and others. First it's just BBQ and secondly, I will never let one person's actions, words, or some other petty thing affect the fact I'm in this because I love BBQ, the friends I've made, and competing.  Mending relationships is an important thing when it affects something one loves.

Back to Williams!  Chuck, is there anything you can do to lower the elevation of Williams?  That elevation has kicked my butt twice now.

Maybe Mike can set another subject area concerning personal gripes and complaints when it comes to events or fellow competitors.  That way those of us who want to focus on our love for BBQ can do just that. Those who want to share their issues and problems they've had can do so separately and thereby not affecting the unconcerned competitors or participants. This has popped up from several events and different members.  I'd like to keep things on the positive side for vets and especially newbies who have no dog in the fight. Just sayin...

Guy's, nobody is trying to be negative, gripe or complain as we've all said Williams is a great place and a fun event. It was asked if somebody was going given last year's events and answered. A little joshing poke at Brandon given what he said many times last year was all that was meant.
So sorry if you've taken it any other way. ???
Jeeze, tough room I guess, not trying to stir anything up, maybe I should go back to not posting again. :-X
Lighten up maybe? ;)
