Thanks Thom/Mike I found it on the CBBQA site...have never been there but it was well layed out and did not take long to find the info I needed...also found that someone said Nancy is on vacation so that's may be why I was having trouble getting info back from her.   O0

So keeping my fingers crossed that I can get to the class.  They have the sign up on the Viejas site but maybe Gene will post any more info he has.

Do you guys know what I would need to bring to the class?  Is it just a show up and learn type thing? Thanks

Yes, it is just a show up and learn.  Bring a writing tool (Pen/Pencil) and that's all you need.

Not only will you learn, but you will be fed as well..

Don't forget two sharp #2 pencils and a steno pad.  Also, no chewing gum is allowed.

Remember, we still need Certified Judges for our November event.  Once you are certified, let me know if you are wanting to come judge at that event.  ;)

Have fun out there.

Man, this sucks.  I missed Stagecoach because I was asked to cook for a friends 50th wedding anniversary.  Now I am going to miss Viejas, as I was asked last 6 months ago to cook for a friends 40th Birthday.

Oh, that is life.  Everyone have a good time.   I will still be doing a comp style that weekend, but no hardware.   ;D

I do like the pay out, a little top heavy, but hey we are in it to win it right.

So will it be a friends 30th birthday or anniversary next time? Hmmm.... ;D ;D ;D

Well I am a little concerned about getting to this class!!!

KCBS lost my membership application, they found it today so Sybilla says I am good to go on my KCBS member ship but as of today I have not received any information regarding the class.  I have called and emailed Nancy Kennedy (more than once) and have received nothing in reply.  All I have is my order conformation from their online store which is exactly how KCBS lost my member ship, at least KCBS was very easy to contact.  Anyone have another extra special contact person.  I will be leaving for San Diego tomorrow or Thursday so I would love to get this taken care of and confirmed!

NEVER MIND!! I got a Debbie Hood contact name from the CBBQA site and she got back to me with in 5 mins of my last email.  (I cc'd her on my last email to Nancy)
I am good to go~~ O0 O0 O0  Its amazing, it really is "who" not "what" you know! LOL O0 O0 O0 O0 O0

Here is her contact info off the California site.

Contact Nancy Kennedy. She is the person responsible for organizing the event. Her phone number is 619-659-2072 and her e-mail address is nkennedy@viejas.com

I'm sure you are good to go.  These things do fall through the cracks sometimes.  Supposedly, they have over 50 teams and 50 judges coming to the class.  If she is the only one running it, she is about to pull her hair out.

Enjoy the trip and the class.  ;)
