It came down to, Do I want a day of R&R in Tucson or Vegas? I wonder how many teams miss their area and decide to try Vegas, should be interesting.

Salt Lake is stuck at 26 and that really sucks. Will they release teams from the wait list to compete in other local events. Seems like that would be a good idea.

Post by: Crash on February 26, 2012, 01:56:20 am: Yup....looks like Smoked To The Bone and Whiskey Ranch aborted the Tucson event. That allowed Afro-Smoke and BBQ Magic to slide in to the Tucson slots. I've got no idea what other team that bowed out.

It certainly looks like a tough field down there in the Old Pueblo. Best of luck to all of the AZ teams.

I'd heard money issues were raising their ugly head. This could limit competing for anyone since as we all know this hobby ain't cheap especially if you never place or win. Good luck to the remaining competitors.

Traveling to comps is a hard thing to do when they are 7+ hours away.
