Thanks for confirming Chris.  If I remember correctly, I think they were asking for about $800 just to get your foot in the door as a rib cook. 

What a disaster.  I feel bad for the guys that went out there and cooked.

I just spoke with Darryl King from Riteway Catering. He was out there vending Ribs all weekend and said it was a great event. He sold out of ribs Saturday and Sunday and won first place for his sauce. He said he would definitely do it again next year. I guess it wasn't as bad as you thought it was.

LOL, I talked with Cowpunchers & Thee Pitts again and they had a different take on it..

As did the people we had that went out there and called from it.

I guess we should have went out there and checked it out ourselves? I was busy doing a practice round for Chandler - maybe next year? We can have an AZBBQ ribfest where none of us are actually cooking - take the Whiskey River Party Bus and party it up!!

hey we were out there vending with  Darrel king and it was not a bad event, we sold out of ribs and had a great time and made some money too. they treated us very well. the rib contest could have been a little better but we all know these things get better the more they do it, they learned alot and next year will b alittle better. we would deffinatly vend this event again.

Hey Holly & Mike, great to hear you are back at it.  Wish I would have known you were going to be out there, I would have sent some people by to say, "Hello"..

Good to hear you did well.  Heard the crowds weren't that good for most of the event. 

Hope to see you out at some of the competitions this year, we do have a bunch going on..

It's good they made some money...... they must have sold out before noon...on Saturday..... I was there right after and it was dead...... good for them.....
