Hey Mike, this is a great contest, can get kinda windy, well real windy. But it's very cooker friendly. They give a goody bag, shirts, banners with your team name on it, free mexican dinner on Friday, free ice, and this year Sysco(sp?) foods will deliver the meats right to your spot. They do have about the biggest trophies you can find on the bbq trail. And some of the top names will be there like Lottabull, Boys from Tornado Alley, Smokin Triggers to name a few. About 50 teams come in for this one. Can't wait. This one kicks off the season for us. Sure hope you can make it.

I found some info on the internet about this event.  It looks like a lot of fun.  It falls right  in the heart of the kid's baseball season so competing would not be possible for us this year.  I've decided to start a list of events that would be fun to attend and to also one day compete in and this one will definitely be on the list.

It's going to be great to have some of the big time competitors like Otis and the Bird and QN4U as members here as we'll all learn about the many events that are on the circuit but the we just don't know about.

Good luck to Jay and Monica and who knows, the event might just fall during Spring Break and Casa di DiVQ will have to take a road trip to New Mexico to cheer them on.
