We go and plant flags at the national cemetery in Riverside.  It is an incredible way to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.  It is also a great chance to provide a history lesson to the family and me.

Wish we could have made it, but holiday weekends are tough for us to find sitters.  Make sure and take lots and LOTS of pictures for us...Oh yeah, video doesnt suck either!!

Saturday I will be spreading my Grandmother's ashes into the Bay under the Golden Gate Bridge where my Grandfather's were spread 17 years ago.  Saturday marks what would have been her 94th birthday. 

On Monday I will be attending the Memorial Day Commemoration at the Presidio in San Fransisco in memory of the men and women who fought and died for this country, and to mark the 8th anniversary of my Father's passing; Memorial Day - May 27th, 2002.

Hey Johnny,  Thanks, did not know that.  However, if you don't have a real, adjustable flag pole, should you wait to fly the flag until after noon??  I only have one of those post to fly the flag??
