I'm in Tucson and would love to participate in a 'just for fun', one meat competition. Of course, being from North Alabama, I'd have to vote for pulled-pork but I'll try anything. Never done it before but it sure sounds like a good time, and maybe I could get my boy involved and away from the xbox. 
Randy, that's exatly what I do with my 14 yo too. Works well. And you being from the South gives you waaaay too much advantage already. God knows you got bbq sauce running through your veins. The rest of us out west are just trying to catch up. I say throw Randy a curve ball, no pork.
