"Well, this is definitely "last minute" for certain... But due to a 102 degree fever that I woke up with this morning (which has yet to break), I am going to have to give up my slot at the Sam's Comp in Santa Fe this weekend... I am just too sick to make the trip and do the cook...

I just got off the phone with the KCBS rep, and anyone that is possibly interested in my spot needs to contact Kelly McIntosh ASAP... (And/or if you know anyone who might be interested, please pass this along to them)

I talked with Tommy of Whiskey Ranch, he is locked in and heading out in the morning. 

If I didn't have the Brisket Comp on Saturday and Easter on Sunday, I would be going with him.  Sounds like a fun road trip..

Thanks, Crash, for posting things here... Am still running a little fever this morning and ache a lot, so there is no way I would have made the drive and the cook without falling apart somewhere along the way... Am way bummed out about not being able to make it...
