The reason I started this thread was to determine if 100 teams was  a reasonable minimum
I think it is after the response here, CBBQA and the brethren

But there are many details TBD one is the date so relax and think about what your going to do with
your winnings OK?

Even though I won't be cooking at this one I know several of the UtahBBQ teams are thinking about it and will probably make it down.  Sounds fun, and who couldn't use that kind of money now that the stocks are dropping.

Yep, based on his meetings with the event people, he back out as the promoter.  Don't know if it is totally dead, but from what Thom said, he is not associated with the event.

But Thom should be by to shed some light.

For what it's worth, I've yet to see or hear anything positive about this particular contest.  As of this moment, we're very hesitant to commit any money toward securing a spot in this event.  There's a lot of time between now and contest time and things could change but we're not holding our breath.
