Hey Guys
We are putting this together
IBCA At Indio 6,7 Oct
looking for 12 Teams ish room for 32
Larger contest in March
$150 reg $120 if you are signed up at Lake Pleasant
Great tune up for the De Walt
Categories Brisket,Spares and Half Chickens add on ABTs
Invites to Meridian TX Nat BBQ Champ for top three categorie places
IBCA Invitation to GC and Top Place each categorie

Thom,  Sounds awesome, I really want to be there, and I will see what we can arrange.  We have a Cardinals game on the 8th that we are committed to be cooking at, so depending upon what time we leave on Sunday, it might be a possibility.

I'm anxious to get the tune up before Lake Pleasant....  ;)

ABT's, I love that category... Can I be a judge in that one alone??    :D

True, I hear you there.  Hopefully things are all falling in place by then, it would be good to get a tune up prior to the Lake Pleasant Event....

 I will have an answer for you about being on the team early september. Unfortunately, life has no resemblenece of normalcy. Just getting routine with work and life in the new house once it's finally put together is like step #2396. I am on step #5  :o :o :o.
 I will keep ya in the know of how things are progressing of course.

Honestly, it will probably be Sept before I can commit to it also as we have to see where we are with the Lake Pleasant event.

Thom, we are certainly interested and will do our best to get out there and just enjoy the experience with all of you.

I would hope that some teams that want to compete for the DeWalt
and Lake Pleasant prizes will be able to make it.I am try to get to 12 teams

Yepers... Thom, thats an excellent idea   A tune up for the LPBCO.. seeing as I have never competed before this would be a great chance to get all the bigginers mistakes out of the way prior to coming to the Lake and kicking butt.. and we aint talking Pork Butt!
Sounds like it could be a nice father son weekend... I'll have ton's of questions before then... too bad you are not going to make it up to Bears this weekend..  I was looking at getting to know a few more of you a bit more in depth

"learning the Ropes" of competition  and maybe winning  something

Well we stay in 1st place mostly LOL
