Hey guys! I was thinking now with the cancellaton of Sedona, it opens up a gap between Holbrook and Mesquite events. Wondering just how large of a contingent we can get together for this event mid August?   I'd love for us to represent in numbers!!!

We're not going for the obvious reasons.  If we were still in AZ, we'd be there for sure.  Great event with a Golden Acorn staff that makes the teams feel very welcome.

Henry puts on a nice event and is a real nice guy to boot! Heard nothing but good about the past G.A. events. Personally and for what it's worth if I was picking what event to travel to I'd pick this one first. You know what you're getting, the G.A. casino has always treated the teams right and from past conversations they've gone above and beyond to make teams happy.

Thanks for everyone who voted on the poll, seems like we can get a good group together to attend. If the maybes' show thats 10 teams......Awesome! I feel some side bets coming on!!

   Just met with Acorn yesterday... Teams again will have access to showers, get $25 per day -per team member - in free play (and you can show up on Thursday and leave on Sunday-- so that's like $100 per team member--if you max out your days---, get free tickets to the Muay Thai (1st time) and  MMA (like last yr) fights taking place the same day (at 5pm+) as the BBQ- (these are $50+)... and they have agreed to move us -next to the big building where the car show and fights took place last yr, by the turn in, judges area -- in a square around the entire venue, with the Casino shielding us from most of the wind (if there is any).. yesterday it was only 5mph, and 78 absolutely beautiful.
